This policy explains how ChickenBase ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you order or book through this website. We are the data controller for the information you provide here. The ordering platform is provided and operated on our behalf by OrderSense, which processes your data under our instructions.

• Order & booking details — your name, phone number, email address, and (for delivery) your address, plus the items you order and any notes.
• Account information — if you create an account: your name, contact details, password (stored encrypted) and your order history.
• Marketing preferences — whether you have chosen to receive offers and news from us, and when.
• Payment information — card payments are handled by our secure payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
• Technical & usage data — cookies and similar technology needed to run the site and to understand how it is used.

How and why we use your information

• To take and fulfil your orders and bookings — this is necessary to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract).
• To manage your account and keep your order history, where you have created one.
• To send you marketing (offers, news) by email and SMS — only where you have agreed, and you can withdraw at any time.
• To meet legal obligations — for example keeping transaction records for tax and accounting.
• To protect the service — preventing fraud and abuse, and improving how the site works (our legitimate interests).

Marketing

We will only send you marketing where you have opted in — when you create an account, or by ticking the option at checkout. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can change your choice at any time from your account, or by contacting us. Turning off marketing does not affect messages we need to send you about your actual orders.

We use cookies that are essential for the site to work (such as keeping your basket and your sign-in), and cookies that help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the parties needed to provide the service:

• OrderSense, which runs the ordering platform on our behalf;
• our payment provider, to process card payments securely;
• delivery providers, where your order is delivered;
• and authorities or advisers where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are typically kept for several years to meet tax and legal requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you opt out, and account information until you delete your account.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
